I'll just click on the link that reads \"Click Here.\"\n\nNow, I'll choose my country, enter my name and email address, prove that I'm a human, and click \"Verify my email\"\n\nThat should generate a message to the email address I provided. Let's find it so I can demonstrate that it's my account. It looks like I need to click this button to complete the verification process.\n\nNow, I'll set up a password for my Oracle Cloud Account. It must be a minimum of 8 characters long and contain one upper case letter, one lower case letter, one number, and one special character.\n\nI'll indicate that this is an individual account and choose a \"Cloud Account Name.\" I'm happy with the one they suggested but I'll be sure to write it down 'cause I'll need it each time I sign in to the Oracle Cloud Console.\n\nI'll choose a home region that is geographically close to me, acknowledge that this setting cannot be changed later., and click \"Continue.\"\n\nNext, I'll provide my address and phone number and click \"Continue\" again.\n\nNow I'll agree to the \"Oracle Cloud Services\" terms and conditions and click \"Start my free trial\"\n\nIt will probably take a minute or two for your account to be fully provisioned.\n\nThis first time you access the Oracle Cloud Console, you can specify your interests so Oracle knows which tools to make most accessible. For our purposes, it does not matter what you choose. \n\nLet's sign out because Oracle may require you to set up two-factor authentication the next time you sign in.\n\nAfter signing out, you should browse to cloud.oracle.com again.\n\nThe first step in signing in is to provide the cloud account name you chose when you first signed up. \n\nNow, Oracle is requiring me to set up two-factor authentication, so I'll click \"Enable secure verification\" and choose \"Mobile App\" as my authentication method.\n\nNow I need to install the \"Oracle Mobile Authenticator App\" onto my phone from the app store.\n\nOnce it is installed, I'll use it to scan this QR code to connect my Oracle Cloud Account to the authenticator app. I'll use the app to authorize this sign-in.\n\nNow I'm successfully logged in and back to my cloud console \"Getting Started\" page.", "code": [ { "summary": "Oracle Cloud URL", "detail": "https://cloud.oracle.com" } ] }
